Dua Lipa is an English artist and singer. She was born on the 22nd of August 1995 within London United Kingdom. The model signed with Warner Bros Records after a couple of years of work and put out a self-titled album in the year 2017. The album peaked at number three on the U.K. Albums Chart and produced eight singles, including Be the One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. Number One track New Rules which peaked at sixth in the United States. Lipa was awarded the Brit Awards for British Female solo artist and British breakout act in the year 2018. The album was rated platinum throughout the world. Dua Lipa was the daughter of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London she was born on 22 August 1995. Dua Lipa is Bosnian origin through her mother's grandmother. Her family tree can be tracked back to Peja, the Kosovo town of Peja. Lipa's grandfathers were both historians. They have a brother Gjin Lipa and a sister Rina. Lipa was influenced musically by her father, who is also the lead guitarist and singer for The Kosovan band Oda. His father would play music in the family, which included songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead The Police Stereophonics. Lipa began to sing at the age of five. In just her ninth year, she started singing at Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa performed If I Ain't Gone You with Alicia Keys, and Beautiful Christina Aguilera. In 2014, Lipa signed a record deal with Warner Bros. Records. The singer released her debut single New Love in August of 2015.
