Sofia Pernas is a Moroccan actress born and was raised within Orange County. At the age of 5, she emigrated from Morocco to California. She graduated in 2015 from University of California San Diego and made her debut as an actress. Pernas began her acting career by playing minor roles on NCIS and Leverage. The Young and the Restless offered Pernas the role Marisa. She landed the role Catalina as Catalina in Jane the Virgin after she left the soap opera.
