Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is a Indian actress, singer-songwriter, and musician. She is mainly involved in Tamil as well as Malayalam films. She made her acting debut in the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam and also made her Malayalam debut in Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah grew up in the Tamil Nadu region in an Anglo-Indian home. Andrea's dad was an Madras High Court lawyer. She has one younger sister who lives and works at Leuven Belgium as a research assistant. Jeremiah was raised near Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. She has said that she was an avid fan of science and wanted to become a psychiatrist until she completed her 12th board exams.Andrea began studying classical piano when she was just eight. In her twenties, she became a part of a group of the Jackson Five called Young Stars which formed the basis of her first performing and music composition career. She was a performer at her college in various productions that were put on by The Madras Players or EVAM. Andrea served as President of the Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea began performing as a young actress acting in Girish Karnad Nagamandala. She appeared in a new leo advertisement with actor Shiva. She was also the part of a character in the Podhigai serial. She has performed on stage in India. She was a part of a short performance in Kanda Mudhal which was the 2005 finale. When she sang a tune for Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vettaiyaadu she was asked to appear in the role of a lead female characters in his next venture Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea was Kalyani who is a homewife whose husband has been involved in an affair. Andrea was allegedly blackmailed. Andrea was selected to play the role after Simran and Tabu were two actors who were approached by the producers. The film was released in the beginning of 2010. The film was released in early 2010. in Venkat's Mankatha in 2011 that starred several actors. In 2013 she made her debut in Malayalam film with Rajeev Ravi's romantic film Annayum Rasoolum.
