Olivia Isabel Rodrigo is an American singer-songwriter/actress, born on 20th February 2003. Her leading characters in the Disney films High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and Bizaardvark made her famous in the latter half of 2010s. Rodrigo was successful in releasing her debut single Driver's License in 2020 following her having signed with Interscope Records (Geffen) and Interscope Records (Interscope Records). It broke numerous records and was one of her top songs in 2021. In the years following, she released singles "Deja Vu,"" and "Good 4 U" and her first solo studio album Sour (2021) that was praised with numerous awards including three Grammy Awards. In 2022, a Disney+ documentary called Olivia Rodrigo: Drive Home 2 U was released that chronicles her creative process in the making of Sour. Rodrigo has been a Billboard Hot 100 Number-One Single, one Billboard 200 Number-One Album, and five multi-Platinum certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America. In addition to other awards, she received the American Music Award seven Billboard Music Awards and four MTV Video Music Awards. Time named her 2021 Entertainer-of-the Year, and Billboard named her Woman Of The Year in 2022. Olivia Isabel Rodrigo was born on 20 February 2003 at Rancho Springs Medical Center in Murrieta, California, to school teacher Jennifer and the family therapist Chris Rodrigo. Her family resides in Temecula. Rodrigo is Filipino American. Rodrigo's father, who is Filipino is her father. Her mother is Germanand has Irish ancestry. She has said that her great-grandfather, who is her paternal grandfather, emigrated from the Philippines when she was an adolescent. The family is also committed to Filipino customs. Rodrigo began singing in kindergarten, and soon learned how to play the piano. [12] She took acting and singing classes from when she was six years old. She then began performing in theater productions during elementary school.
